Belgium Innovation Tour showcasing sustainable design, creativity, and collaboration between architects and industry leaders.

The Belgium Innovation tour began with a special invitation extended to our CEO, Mahmoud Zohny, to join the Swedish Group on an exclusive trip exploring innovation, sustainability, and design excellence with brilliant architects, designers, developers, and consultants in a one-of-a-kind trip.

Representing both ZF Holding and SKETCHURE, the visit provided a unique opportunity to engage with global industry leaders, discover advanced material technologies, and gain insights into the latest trends shaping the future of architecture and manufacturing.

Day 1 – Innovation Starts with Collaboration

The journey began with great enthusiasm as our CEO joined a diverse group of professionals and partners. The first day was dedicated to understanding the European approach to sustainable design, where efficiency, technology, and aesthetics meet.

First stop: Unilin Panels Headquarters, where they explored sustainable innovations and bold design concepts that redefine creativity. Elise Taelman was guiding them through an eye-opening showroom experience, highlighting eco-friendly and future-ready materials.

Next, they stepped inside the PERGO Factory with Gino Devolder, uncovering how craftsmanship and technology come together to uphold the legacy of one of the world’s most iconic flooring brands.

Day 2 – Exploring Creativity and Design in Action

The second day started with our CEO, Mahmoud Zohny, and Bahaa Maher (elme3margy) leading the team through a deeper exploration of creativity and process innovation. The group visited advanced production facilities, where machines demonstrated how threads and fibers are turned into sustainable materials, a fascinating process that combines precision engineering with creative design thinking.

First stop: Mohawk Group EMEA, global pioneers in carpet flooring. Guided by Jurgen Beke and David Luyten, we went behind the scenes to witness the full process, from raw materials to finished products, and the advanced technology that brings their innovative carpets to life.

Next, we visited IVC Commercial, part of the Unilin Group, where Evelyne Aelbrecht, Ingrid Derveaux, and Alexander Ollagnier welcomed us for an inspiring tour of the showroom. Their innovative and sustainable vinyl solutions are redefining performance and design for modern spaces.
