Senior Procurement & Estimation Engineer

SKETCHURE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement & Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement and cost estimation activities for the company.

Responsibilities:

Procurement:

  • Lead all procurement activities, including sourcing materials, equipment, and services from qualified vendors.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and quality assurance.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.

Estimation:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and subcontractor costs.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and tracking systems.
  • Provide regular cost reports and analysis to project management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost risks and develop contingency plans.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
  • Collaborate with project and planning engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement and cost estimation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Archeticture, Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and cost estimation within the Fit-out and High End-Finishes sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and procurement regulations.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
